Been told more than once to try freeze dried Jolly Ranchers, so…
Here we go!!
Got a bunch of Jolly Ranchers, so I hope they really are awesome!
Like other candies, I did Candy Mode on the Ice Queen (Harvest Right Home Pro Medium) for this. I spaced them out because I’ve been told they get big. I skipped the tray warming for these.
I’m excited about this one, cause if they get really big, that’ll be fun! 🙂

These are beyond awesome! They’re freaking HUGE! They’re super airy and crispy. I really dig them! I honestly can’t believe how big they got. I will need to clean off the tops of the freeze dryer racks now. Some of the Jolly Ranchers got so big they got a little stuck to the rack tops, lol.
And.. freeze dried Jolly Ranchers took how long?
I did the usual 3 hours like I do for other candies, like the freeze dried Skittles. Some weren’t quite done though, so I ran it for an extra hour. For these going forward, I will do four hours from the start.
