Freeze dried Lemonheads might be just like regular Lemonheads, haha.
Not sure what they’ll do, but I’m curious.
The Lemonheads went into the Ice Queen (Harvest Right Home Pro Medium) with Sugar Babies and Red Hots. I didn’t do anything special to them. They just went on trays ad then went into the freeze dryer on Candy Mode.
I’m hoping they’ll at least do something, but you never know. Some candies just stay the same, lol.
The Lemonheads are pretty good!
So.. freeze dried Lemonheads do expand a little bit. They didn’t expand as much as freeze dried Skittles, but same type of expansion happened. So they’re crunchy and good. Some people have now said they work better if they’re baked first. Then straight from oven to freeze dryer. So next time I see some, I may try to do it that way and see if they’re even better 🙂
And.. freeze dried Lemonheads took how long?
As usual, I set Candy Mode to run for three hours. So that’s how long Lemonheads took, lol.
Happy freeze drying!!
At first I wasn’t sure about the freeze dried Lemonheads, then I decided I very much like them😂 I’ve seen all the things about baking both Lemonheads and Red Hots before freeze drying. I did not do that since I didn’t hear about it until it was too late. But I will try again🙂 pic.twitter.com/vV3ZmSBMwJ
