I’ve heard about freeze dried Snickers from more than one person…
So let’s give them a try!
I bought a bunch of Fun Size Snickers to use for this. Probably the only time the fun sized ones will actually be fun, lol.
Like other candies, I did Candy Mode on the Ice Queen (Harvest Right Home Pro Medium) for this. I cut each one into fourths and left space between them so if they expand, they won’t get too stuck to each other.
I know chocolate doesn’t do anything much in the freeze dryer. I’m guessing it’ll mostly be the caramel that expands. We shall see… I’m pretty excited!

Wow! Just wow!
These Snickers are incredible! The chocolate is a bit melty, but it’ll dry. Some folks said they put them right in the freezer after they came out of the freeze dryer. I did that with one tray, but the rest I just let the chocolate regarded on its own. I gave some to our neighbor as well, and she said they’re soooo good!
For freeze dried Snickers… another 3 hour one?
Yep, it took the usual three hours on candy mode for the Snickers to be done. Instead of skipping the tray warming, I just hit start, so it did warm them for a tiny bit first. Not sure that really mattered though.
Super thrilled with these, and I’m excited to move on to the next candy!!! 🙂
Happy freeze drying!!

So.. these are awesome! The chocolate on the freeze dried Snickers is still a bit melty in this video, since I took it right after they came out. Gave some to our neighbor too, and she loved them!! These are definitely one I will keep around😂 pic.twitter.com/mQDQkUKHUV
