Cooking is so much fun and can be super relaxing (as long as other stay out of the kitchen while I’m in it anyway, ha). I enjoy making up recipes, and oftentimes I forget to write them down.
Lately, I’ve been really trying my best to write things down as I add them to the dishes I make. I make a lot of things up as I go and just want to share those things with others.
I do water bath or pressure can quite a lot of the things I make. Not everyone is comfortable using a pressure canner, but low acid foods must be pressure canned. Another options is to just freeze those types of things (such as meat sauces or meat stews).
If there is ever a question about proper canning methods, food storage, etc., refer to the National Center for Home Food Preservation for great information on safety and how-to.
