1 Muffin tin can be 6 or 12, just needs to fit in your freezer
Paracord cut into 18-24" - need as many as muffin spots
Freezer Space
Ingredients
any chicken friendly foods
water
Instructions
Cut your paracord into 18-24" lengths. I also burn the ends so I can reuse it later. You want as many pieces of paracord as you have muffin tin spots.
Tie a knot at one end of each piece of paracord.
Place the knotted ends of the paracord in the muffin tin - one piece per spot.
Add chicken foods, making sure to keep the paracord underneath the foods. This can be shredded chicken, corn, scratch, chopped up fruits and veggies, or a mixture of things. It can also be different for each muffin spot. Fill each spot to about 3/4 full.
Add water to each muffin tin spot to fill it up the rest of the way.
Place in freezer - keep it as flat as possible. Freeze for about 4-6 hours, until fully frozen.
Remove from muffin tin by gently pulling on the paracord. These frozen treats should hang well and will be fun for your chickens to peck at, while the ice keeps them cool!
Notes
These can also be made without the paracord and just tossed into a dish of water, or even into their food dish.
